Day1 - 26/1/2014:

The day started with a bang, literally. A suicide attacker targeted an Afghan Army bus killing 4 and injuring many. Among the wounded is a friend's cousin.

Another day in Kabul. Everyone is going about their life as if nothing has happened. The indifference and normalcy of all these attacks to us all is scary. On the news you hear of the incidents, and some Facebook outcries and outburst is all that the citizens can do. It appears only those directly affected suffer the wrath of it.

I feel disappointed and let down by the very government responsible for protecting us. New York Times published a report saying the government used photographs of incidents as old as 3 years falsely claiming they were of an incident that happened a week ago in Ghorband. You feel embarrassed, outraged, and helpless thinking those in power are manipulating events for their own vendetta and gain. Sham on them I say.
